I’m actually very happy with the talent here in the 5th Round. James Lynch is a very solid rotational piece to find this late in the 5th Round. Cameron Clark was also sitting around, and I’d be fine with that choice. So, why go with Lynch? He’s just a little more versatile as a defensive player, while not lagging much behind Clark in the run-stuffing game. I think Lynch can get after the quarterback a bit more, allowing him to be in more versatile packages. Lynch glues his eyes on the ball and is quite adept at knocking balls down and forcing fumbles.

Myles Bryant’s history is fascinating. Since High School, he has shown that he can play many different positions and seems to play them all well. He excels at pretty much any secondary position on the field and could work well in Ravens Special Teams packages. He’s a physical specimen with a brain to match; very much like current Raven, Chuck Clark. He plays fast and dissects opposing teams quickly. I can see Bryant being an immediate decent replacement for Tavon Young, should another Young injury arise, as Bryant is a natural nickelback.
