Final Baltimore Ravens mock Draft: Javon Kinlaw to the Ravens
The Third Round
Again, I am consistent. My last two mock drafts have had Anae at this exact spot. I think he has second round talent and it looks like the Ravens can get him in the third round. Anae is just a Ravens type of player. Let’s take a look at his numbers. He had 29.5 sacks in four years at Utah. His final season with the Utes was where his 13 sack season came. He’s a super polished and experienced prospect who is coming into his own going into the draft.
Anae had three games in 2019 with multiple sacks. That tells me if you give Anae the right match up he’s going to be a terror for the opposition. Anae’s most impressive day was against Arizona State where he notched three sacks. Anae is an underrated pass rusher and he’s one of the safer picks. If the Ravens land Anae at 92 I’m getting myself something nice because that’s my favorite prediction of the draft season.
Kenny Willekes is one of my favorite players in this draft class. Willekes is just like Anae in the sense that he’s got a high motor. He’s a player that I think is fairly underrated. Willekes was quietly one of the most productive pass rushers in the country. He had 10 sacks to go along with 78 total tackles in the 2019 season. While he’s not overly explosive he is a good athlete and he gives you a lot in run defense. He’ll be a solid NFL player and this is good value for him.
Free agency did a lot for the Ravens defensive front. Now with this mock draft the Ravens will have a completely improved defensive front. Willekes will give competition to players like Jaylon Ferguson and Tyus Bowser. One thing is clear, the more pass rushers the merrier.
