2020 NFL Draft: Baltimore Ravens day 2 mock draft
Round 3:
I considered waiting until pick 108 to take Jennings, but I just don’t believe he’ll last that long. I’m not sure what people are missing with this guy, but he has the kind of talent that would justify a second-round selection. I was going to address the pass rush in the second round, but I’m not convinced that Josh Uche will be available at 60, and don’t think there’s enough difference between someone like Curtis Weaver and Jennings to take a Weaver 32 picks sooner.
The Ravens love Alabama players, and they love production. Jennings put up 13.5 sacks over his final two seasons with the Crimson Tide, including 8.0 sacks in 2019. He perfectly fits the profile of a mid-round pass rusher that Baltimore turns into a reliable starter, and his competence dropping into coverage makes him an even more appealing piece for Don Martindale.
The Ravens go for a value pick here in Biadasz, who could fall due to injury history at Wisconsin. Since Baltimore does have Matt Skura, Ben Powers, and Patrick Mekari also in the mix for starting jobs along the interior offensive line, they can afford to take the gamble on Biadasz, who could end up being the best interior lineman in the class if he can stay healthy. He is as tough a mauler as there is in the draft, and is one of the few interior line prospects that is also an asset as pass blocker.
