Defensive Line (7)

The player who got pushed out here is Daylon Mack. Mack has no statistics to speak of after his first season and the defensive line is built very differently this year. The Ravens drafted Mack’s former teammate in Justin Madubuike and added Broderick Washington on day three of the draft. Mack has the size to be a space eater, yet he is easily the least versatile player in the mix. With a heavy emphasis on interior pass rush, Baltimore is setting a new standard for their defensive front.

The Ravens have a chance to have the best defensive line in the NFL. Calais Campbell is a Pro Bowl talent, while Brandon Williams and Derek Wolfe are upper echelon players at doing what they do. On top of that, the Ravens should have fresh legs throughout the game with a nice rotation. The defensive line will dominate and set everything up for the linebackers.

Inside Linebacker (3)

At this point you don’t need to read any more about Patrick Queen. He’s going to be good. Malik Harrison, who was an absolute steal for the Ravens in the 2020 NFL Draft is the prototypical linebacker to put next to a player like Queen. However let’s talk about how reformed this position group is.

The Ravens went into last season thinking Chris Board and Kenny Young would be the answer next to Patrick Onwuasor. The Ravens ended up with a mix of Onwuasor, Fort and Josh Bynes for the most part of last season. They never got more than a solid performance out of that group and had one of the best defenses all year-long. Once Queen and Harrison get things rolling, this should be much better than the linebackers were last season.
