3) J.K Dobbins:

The J.K Dobbins pick was a little unusual at first. The Ravens had just set a record for most rushing yards in a season and have 3 running backs on the roster already. Why not take a wide receiver or an edge rusher instead of Dobbins? After watching some tape, I can understand why they passed on a more urgent need for a potentially special running back. Dobbins runs through holes with power and has the speed to take it the distance on any given play.

Though Dobbins did not participate in the combine, you can tell just by looking at him that he is an athlete. He has a compact, powerful build with quick feet and fantastic straight-line speed. It felt like every game I watched of him he would break off a huge run, then follow it up with another huge run. Though he is not as shifty as Lamar Jackson is, he can cut well and get downhill in a hurry. He does remind me a little bit of Ray Rice if he can become as good as Rice then taking Dobbins in the second round will look like a steal.

Going to Baltimore must have been a dream come true for Dobbins. To be able to learn from a great player like Mark Ingram will allow Dobbins to reach his full potential. Also, being able to share the football with Gus Edwards and Justice Hill will keep everyone fresh and ready to go as the game goes on. It would not shock me to see Dobbins averaging over 5 yards per carry for his rookie season, he has that type of ability. Within the next year or two Dobbins could become one of the premier running backs in the league.
