4. Mark Andrews and Marquise Brown

If Marquise Brown takes the next step in a season where he should start off fully healthy, the Ravens have a superstar on their hands. They already know that Andrews is at the superstar level. Last season these were the top two targets in the passing game. Andrews is a big bodied target who is hard to match up with in the middle of the field. Brown has incredible speed and can make his impact on a quick pass that gets him in a footrace or a bomb down the field.

Because the Ravens have such a great running game with Ingram and company, the Ravens have a perfect trio of play-makers on the field for Lamar Jackson. Andrews and Brown are the keys to the passing game. Brown makes defenses worried about defending the deep pass against a team with historic proficiency on the ground and the fastest quarterback in the world. Andrews provides a go to target for Jackson that seems to be inexplicably open no matter what. Jackson and Andrews have a very good chemistry and that obviously helps.

Without the combination of Andrews and Brown, the offense wouldn’t really work. The Ravens need to have weapons in the passing game or stopping them solely boils down to stop the ground game. While Brown has the physical ability to climb into the status of elite wide receivers Andrews is already in the highest tier of NFL tight ends. These are two young players that are still in the very early stages of their career who are building towards their prime with Jackson. This is going to go down as one of the most potent play-making duos in franchise history. The compass of the passing game certainly points towards Andrews and Brown.
