2. Ronnie Stanley:

Marshal Yanda had some crazy statistics when it came to how few pass rushers he let through to the quarterback. Ronnie Stanley isn’t far behind the future Hall of Fame player and is now the best offensive lineman on the roster. Stanley is one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL and the reason why is simple. During the course of the season, how many times you’re noticeably frustrated with an offensive lineman matters. Over the course of the past couple seasons that number has been very small for Stanley. He just goes about his business and he makes things possible for Mark Ingram and Lamar Jackson.

One thing I love about Stanley is he is my favorite player that I was wrong about coming out of the draft. I was worried about his lean upper body and didn’t think he had the frame to be a dominant left tackle. Stanley bulked up a bit at the NFL level. He showed that he wasn’t a finished product as an athlete and taught me a valuable lesson about evaluating linemen coming out of the draft. Stanley taught me that if a prospect has the traits and good tape that he’s probably going to be a star in the NFL, even if he’s not fully developed in terms of his build. From day one, Stanley has been the starting left tackle and his footwork has always been incredible.

Stanley may be the most important player to the Ravens team that isn’t named Jackson. Dependability requires consistency. Stanley has been incredible consistent. He’s been good since he was a rookie in 2016 and last year he showed that he was one of the best left tackles in football. Stanley has dependability written all over his game. There is only one player who is more dependable than the Ravens left tackle of the present. Hopefully, Stanley is also the left tackle of the future.
