Winnable games:

A winnable game is one in which the Ravens should win, but they have to earn. These games will be a fight despite Baltimore being favored in each contest. The winnable games on this season’s schedule are against the Houston Texans, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts and a revenge game against the Tennessee Titans.

Three of these winnable games are on the road. The Texans shouldn’t be an awful team, yet the Ravens crushed a better version of Bill O’Brien’s team last season. Traveling to play the Patriots is always challenging. Without Tom Brady, the Patriots are a team the Ravens should beat. Respecting Bill Belichick and a very good defense prevents me from calling this an obvious win. The Colts are a hard team to account for because it’s hard to predict what Phillip Rivers will give them at the quarterback position. Games in Indianapolis have been tough for Baltimore however the Colts aren’t a team to fear.

The Ravens already know the Titans are a team they can beat. They could have won that playoff game if they didn’t trip over themselves in the key moments of the game. With the pressure off and a taste of revenge on the line, Baltimore may have better luck this time.

These are games where the Ravens need to bring their best foot forward to win. This isn’t elite competition in this tier but it is respectable. These are all games that the Ravens need to win if they want to be the number one seed.
