The 2020 Baltimore Ravens have a loaded roster that will make it hard for some bubble players to make the final team. Here are five guys in particular.

Every year teams face difficult decisions when it comes to managing the roster and fostering the best team possible. The Baltimore Ravens are no exception and will face even more difficult moves this offseason thanks to such a stacked roster.

It’s a good problem to have, sure, but making these business decisions is no easy task. There a quite a few guys on this roster that could easily be cut and quickly find new homes with other teams. There are five guys in particular who stand out in this regard and we’re going to briefly discuss each here.

Jaleel Scott:

Jaleel Scott had a strong preseason in 2019 that helped him make the final 53-man roster. Scott caught 11 passes for 146-yards and two touchdowns in four games, primarily from third-string quarterback Trace McSorley (more on him later). Scott bodied opposing defensive backs with his imposing size and “my ball” mentality. Unfortunately, that success didn’t translate into the regular season.

Scott wound up with just one reception for six-yards last year and it didn’t come until week 17 when the Ravens benched the majority of their starters. Headed into 2020, Scott has a lot to prove if he wants to stay a Raven.

It doesn’t help his chances that he barely made it on to last year’s roster as the team’s sixth receiver. Only one of those guys from last year (Seth Roberts) is no longer with the team, and Baltimore spent two 2020 NFL Draft picks at the position in the forms of Devin Duvernay and James Proche. Scott is now buried on a team with tons of talent at the position that simply looks better than he can be. He’ll need to be one of the league’s most productive receivers in the preseason to have a shot at sticking to this roster.
