With the 2020 NFL season right around the corner, it’s time to start talking Fantasy Football and discuss who the top options are from the Baltimore Ravens.

5. J.K. Dobbins

Even as a rookie in a crowded backfield there’s reason to believe that J.K. Dobbins could carve out a role with the Baltimore Ravens and have some Fantasy Football relevance in 2020.

Dobbins was absolutely masterful during his three seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes and now goes to a perfect scheme fit to get the most out of him at the next level. We all know that the Ravens are a run-heavy offense, so Dobbins will see plenty of carries as a rookie. Last season, Gus Edwards received 133 carries as the team’s third option behind Mark Ingram and Lamar Jackson. It’s fair to assume that Dobbins will take at least half of those carries from Edwards as the presumed no.2 back for the team.

Where Dobbins’s true Fantasy Football value comes into play here is as a receiver. Dobbins never caught less than 22 passes a season during college and averaged 9.1 YPR. Dobbins is shifty with the ball in his hands and his receiving prowess will get him more touches in this Baltimore offense.

If you’re playing in a dynasty league then Dobbins has major value; enough to warrant being the top rookie off the board. Dobbins’s future is bright, but he could still be a solid FLEX play early in his career with a shot to be even better depending on how touches are divided up. And who knows? Dobbins could be Baltimore’s top back by the end of the season.
