4. Mark Ingram

Ravens Flock expected Mark Ingram to be a stud in 2019, but no one saw what he did for the team coming… at least, honest and sane fans didn’t.

In his first season with the Ravens, Ingram tied a franchise record 15 total touchdowns (10 rushing, five receiving) and rushed for over 1,000-yards in 15 games. Ingram finished as the no.11 running back in PPR formats for his efforts and averaged a whopping 16.2 PPG. It was the second-best Fantasy Football performance of his career, only behind his 2017 season.

Headed into 2020, Ingram’s Fantasy Football value remains high, but many will be wary of drafting him too high thanks to the team’s investment in rookie J.K. Dobbins.

The good news here is Ingram and Dobbins are clones of each other, so everything I mentioned about Dobbins earlier rings true for Ingram. Ingram is a terrific runner and pass catcher in a great offense. Ingram also has an edge over Dobbins thanks to being the more seasoned player of the two. Ingram has no reason to believe he won’t be the team’s RB1 entering 2020.

Whether or not that rings true for the entirety of 2020 is far from a guarantee, however, making it a slight gamble to bet on Ingram long-term. Ingram has also hit the dreaded age 30-mark for running backs. He could certainly decline a bit in 2020.

Ingram will be a safe RB 2 option across all Fantasy Football formats and you can feel comfortable drafting him in the first two-to-three rounds to be a steady producer for your team. While his upside is capped due to a deep running back group, he should still open the season as the starter. His versatility will keep him relevant all year long, even if Dobbins starts siphoning carries.
