1. Lamar Jackson

Was there any ever doubt who number one would be?

Lamar Jackson is coming off an MVP season in which he threw a league-leading 36 touchdown passes and 43 total touchdowns. Jackson also set the single-season quarterback rushing yards record with a whopping 1,206-yards. He accomplished all of this in 15 games, not including the time he sat out after being pulled for having given the Baltimore Ravens such a large lead to play with.

Not much has changed from last season. If anything, things have gotten better, as Jackson has a couple of new weapons to play with in rookies J.K. Dobbins and Devin Duvernay. Marquise Brown will be at 100% to start the season, too, giving Jackson a terrific weapon to stretch defenses out vertically. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jackson wind up being a top-three Fantasy Football quarterback once again in 2020.

Baltimore will once again be run-heavy this year, which obviously plays to Jackson’s strengths. While Jackson has gone on record to say he doesn’t believe he’ll be running as much this season, that doesn’t mean he’ll be any less effective as a play-maker. On the contrary, he should be a lot more balanced because of it.

Quarterback isn’t the most important position in Fantasy Football, but having an elite option such as Lamar Jackson completely alters how effective your team operates. Don’t be surprised to see Jackson average north of 25 PPG once again in 2020. While the rushing yards may go down, the passing yards will more than likely go up. I also suspect the touchdowns will hover around 30 again thanks to his ability to score with his legs.

Don’t overthink the value here, draft Jackson as high as you please, and rest easy knowing you have one of Fantasy Football’s safest and most consistent producers in your lineup.
