The Ravens don’t have a lot of drama heading towards training camp, yet the roster still generates some key competition and storylines for 2020.

While the Baltimore Ravens‘ 2019 campaign came up just a little short, it’s refreshing to know head coach John Harbaugh’s team remains largely intact heading towards this season. There’s little reason to assume anything but another deep run with double-digit wins and a likely placement back atop the AFC North once the regular season comes to a close.

And based on the lessons learned a year ago, one should assume Baltimore will be able to press even harder through the playoffs en route to the Super Bowl.

Continuity on the roster is also going to be an important thing. The Ravens had to overcome some defenses losses within the front seven, although the addition of defensive tackle Calais Campbell and selecting rookie linebacker Patrick Queen in the NFL Draft help to alleviate those to a large extent. Baltimore’s secondary is still elite, which should allow Harbaugh and Co. to maintain a process of regular blitzes and schemed pressure.

There isn’t much needing to be said about the Ravens offense either, especially when the team boasts the reigning MVP, quarterback Lamar Jackson, and an elite running game.

All said, however, there are still some notable storylines and competitions at hand for when Baltimore kicks off training camp later this month. Not all of Harbaugh’s starters are quite established, and there’s plenty of room for depth among some key reserve contributors vying for placement on the 53-man roster.

With that as a backdrop, let’s look at three key storylines fans will want to watch when training camp begins.
