Week Three

Who: Kansas City Chiefs

When: Mon. 9/28 @ 5:15 PM

Where: M&T Bank Stadium

It’s not often you have the game of the year just four weeks into the regular season but here we are. As is stands right now, the Ravens won’t have any fans in attendance for this Monday night showdown which is disappointing but the right move. Things could change by then since it’s still a month away so fingers crossed.

Enough with the attendance, let’s get into the matchup. Lamar Jackson has dueled Patrick Mahomes in each of his first two seasons and has fallen just short both times, but as they say, the third times the charm. The Ravens improved on both sides of the ball this offseason while the Chiefs have arguably gotten slightly worse. They’ll be without two of their starting cornerbacks from last season and their linebacking corps remains skeptical.

The Ravens secondary will be tasked with limiting Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, and rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire which is no easy feat but I believe they have the personnel to do so, even without Earl Thomas III. This game will be a chess match between Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale, a chess match the entire nation will be watching.

With that being said, there’s a saying that goes “the wolf climbing the hill is hungrier than the wolf on top of the hill” and that’s exactly how I see this matchup. The Ravens are coming off an embarrassing first game exit in the playoffs and what better way to redeem yourself other than taking down the Super Bowl champions on Monday Night Football.

Predicted Score: 34-28, Ravens
