The 2020 NFL season kicks off this week, so it’s time to predict the Baltimore Ravens and its rivals record in this edition of the AFC North round-up.

Baltimore Ravens:

You’d be hard-pressed to find a roster that is as talented from top-to-bottom as the 2020 Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens are returning 10 Pro Bowlers from a season ago and brought in another in Calais Campbell. Campbell joins a defense with elite players scattered throughout to include his partner-in-crime Matt Judon and the cornerback tandem of Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters. The defense also added a brand new shiny linebacker via the 2020 NFL Draft in Patrick Queen. This defense from top-to-bottom looks loaded and ready to compete with the best offenses the league has to offer.

The real story for these Ravens is on the offensive side of the ball, where the reigning MVP will return with a chip on his shoulder. It’s hard to believe that Lamar Jackson has to prove doubters wrong after pacing the NFL in passing touchdowns (36) a season ago while also setting a single-season quarterback rushing yards record (1,206-yards) and becoming just the second-ever unanimous MVP winner, but here we are anyways…

Now, Jackson comes back more pissed off than ever before. Jackson is out for blood and to prove his 2019 season is no fluke.

Jackson is on an absolutely loaded offense that features a top-five tight end in Mark Andrews, a potential superstar in Marquise Brown, and a stud running back in Mark Ingram. The offensive line is also one of the league’s better units, which will open things up more for the offense.

The league will be put on notice when they have to square off against the Ravens. As far as the AFC North is concerned, the division is Baltimore’s to lose. None of its division rivals are even close to matching up with this roster.

While I’m a firm believer that this Baltimore Ravens team is good enough to go 16-0 in the regular season based on the talent and weak schedule, it’s unlikely to happen. Baltimore will drop a game here and there, but as a whole, they’re one of the best teams in the league. The Ravens will easily win double-digit games and should have a record above .500 in the AFC North, even if it splits games with its rivals. Look for this squad to lock up the AFC North and compete for a Super Bowl.
