Who’s Cold

Chris Board- Board is a good story of an undrafted player who made the team and has played well on special teams. In the past, Board has been impressive in training camp last year and is clearly a coaches favorite. Unfortunately, his play didn’t transfer into Sundays game. Board looked lost on defense. He looked at his worst on the Browns touchdown drive. Capping it when he got caught with his eyes in the backfield and gave David Njoku a completely free release and let him have the entire back corner to himself. Although that was the Ravens worst and they still handily won, it’s something that the Ravens defense must address and fix. With veteran L.J. Fort and the rookies Patrick Queen and Malik Harrison looking good it might be time to give someone else reps or else there’s no reason to have five inside linebackers active on gameday.

Patrick Ricard- I was really excited for Ricard’s debut and thought he was going be a game changer, so this may be more based off his one large mistake. He fumbled the ball on the goal-line. In big games, closer games, that cannot happen. Ricard rarely gets the ball and him being capable of that would add another layer to the offense. He must clean that mistake up and move forward if he wants to make another Pro Bowl. On the other hand, Ricard was reliable as a blocker, but not as impactful as he was last year.

Justice Hill- Hill, a fourth round pick last season, didn’t do anything wrong to get onto this spot. The only reason why Hill is on this list is because rookie J.K Dobbins scored two touchdowns. With Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards being better early down runners, and Dobbins showing off his elusiveness, snaps may be hard to get for Hill. He may need to return to practice and provide special teams value just to be active on gamedays. Hill himself has big play capabilities but will need to get healthy and show it off in order to get onto the field on Sundays.

Cleveland Browns- Enough said.

The Ravens face the Houston Texans next week in Sunday afternoon football at 4:15 on CBS.
