Runnings Backs:

Analysis– In week one the Ravens went pass heavy and featured an efficient passing day. The running game in turn was slowed down. J.K. Dobbins led the way with two touchdowns and the Ravens running backs only taking 21 carries total. The Texans ran the ball well with new acquisition David Johnson running for 71 yards on 11 carries, with Duke Johnson struggling behind him for five carries and 14 yards. David Johnson was also active in the passing game.

This weeks matchup features two front sevens that are very solid and linebackers who can run with running backs in space. It will most likely be a chess match and big plays will need to be executed very well in order to happen. But between these teams, they have running back rooms that are intriguing. Both sets of running backs will need to be involved in the passing game and both teams will need capable pass blocking running backs with the pass rushes that are meeting this week.

Gus Edwards had a very successful game last year when these teams met and the Ravens must use that film to plan for this game. Getting Mark Ingram back on track also needs to be of the utmost importance as he struggled to get started last week. For Houston, the Johnson duo will look to grow from a first game that showed promise for each of them. Duke needs to improve as a runner, but David just needs the ball more frequently. David Johnson returning to form is a scary thought for the rest of the league, but the Ravens have the defense to slow him down and contain him.
