The most important game of the Baltimore Ravens 2020 season comes in week three on MNF vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. to win, these three players must step up.

Tyre Phillips:

The Baltimore Ravens have to be happy with the return investment they’ve seen out of their 2020 third-round pick, Tyre Phillips. Phillips has been a day one starter at right guard for the team and has helped paved the way for a Ravens offense that is averaging 394 total YPG and 35.5 PPG. Phillips has played well thus far, but his biggest challenge is coming on Monday night.

In the spotlight against the best team in the NFL, Phillips will have to find a way to slow down Pro Bowl defensive tackle Chris Jones. Jones is one of the best defensive tackles the league has to offer, coming up with 31 sacks over the last three seasons. He’s an absolute monster from the interior that even the best guards in the league have fits against.

Unfortunately, Baltimore will be relying on a rookie playing in just his third NFL game to come up with a way to stop Jones.

Phillips won’t be asked to man-up against Jones alone, as I suspect a lot of double-teams from the center to help him out. Nonetheless, Phillips will be relied upon to be Jones’s main opposition. It isn’t fair to ask, but the Ravens are hoping Phillips can have a breakout game against one of the best in the business.
