Jake Lippman:

Two MVP quarterbacks squaring off in a battle of dynamic dual threats. Last year Kansas City won 31-28 but it’s a new year. Last year the Ravens were starting almost a completely new defense, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and J.K. Dobbins were in college, and Tyreek Hill didn’t play. These are all key factors to what is a new matchup this year.

In what could be the game of the year this game will be exciting, one meant for the spotlight. There will be fireworks, but I feel it may not be everything that some may think about it. I think this is a game where both of these defenses, playing well, will be the dictating factor. Yes, there will be offensive highlights; we’ll just also see some defensive.

Mahomes v Jackson is currently 2-0 in Mahomes‘ favor but with a full stable of running backs and a defense that has looked impressive thus far, this game could go differently. Pound the rock with the run, CEH and the Ravens stable of backs will be tasked with keeping the ball away from the other offense, and the QBs are going to look for game-changers over the top. It should be exciting and close.
