2) Let’s head to the bakery

I am a portly fellow for those who don’t know, so I am always relishing a chance to go to the bakery. The Ravens should tag along this Sunday and get themselves some turnovers.

Haskins had four turnovers last week against a Browns defense that has two good players. He should have lost a second fumble in that contest as well. In 12 career games played, Haskins has 10 interceptions and 10 fumbles to go along with his 11 touchdown passes. There is plenty of time for Haskins to grow into his own but at this point in time he is arguably the NFL’S most turnover prone quarterback.

The Ravens have six takeaways on the season ranking them in a tie for second place behind the Patriots and Browns, the latter of which just forced five in a match up with the football team last week. They have a turnover in each contest so far and this match up should represent an opportunity for them to continue to climb the rankings.

The Ravens dynamic duo of Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey have combined for five interceptions, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and four touchdowns in their 13 career regular season games together. The duo will add to their collection this Sunday.

3) Handle your business

The Ravens have made a habit in the Lamar Jackson era of annihilating their competition. In 12 of Jackson’s 25 career regular season starts, the Ravens have defeated their opponent by 10+ points. It became a staple of the Ravens during their 12 game winning streak last year and it has carried over in to the 2020 season early on.

The Washington Football Team has a bad quarterback. They have an inexperienced running game. They have Terry McLaurin in the passing game who is a special player. Other than that they have Steven Sims Jr., Logan Thomas, and Dontrelle Inman as top targets. Inman and Sims Jr are also questionable for Sunday’s contest. To put it mildly, this isn’t exactly the same group the Ravens struggled with on Monday night.

Defensively their best player, 2020 second overall pick DE Chase Young will not play Sunday as he is nursing a groin strain. Another key contributor along the Football Team’s stout defensive front will be missing as well in DT Matt Ioannidis. Now here’s your other concern area even still without those players. Steady veteran Ryan Kerrigan (who the Ravens should be trying to acquire), second year standout Montez Sweat, and Jonathan Allen still represent a strong pass rush threat.

But the Ravens offensive line was better than it looked against the Chiefs and Lamar Jackson has actually been running himself into some sacks as of late as well. If Jackson and the line handle their business Sunday, the Ravens should be able to attack what is a dismal back seven minus Landon Collins.

This one should be pretty cut and dry and I learned last season to trust the Ravens to handle their business under the Jackson administration.

Prediction: I just can’t see a way that the Football Team can keep pace with the Ravens in this one. Look for the Ravens to generate several turnovers and actually find some success harrassing the quarterback this week as well. They will run for 200+ as I said and this game will be the bounce back performance that the Ravens Flock needs to R-E-L-A-X a little bit. Ravens 37 Football Team 16.
