20. L.A. Chargers, 1-3 (21)

Justin Herbert is offering some real slivers of hope for Chargers fans. Well, both Chargers fans. They don’t have many. This team gets devoured by the injury bug every season, and this one is no different. But at least there’s some hope for the future.

19. Arizona Cardinals, 2-2 (16)

When this team looks good, they look very good. When they do not look good, well, they lose to the Carolina Panthers. Guess which team showed up last Sunday. They still have some reasons for optimism, but they need to learn to deal with adversity.

18. Las Vegas Raiders, 2-2 (17)

Losing to the Bills is no shame. The Bills are elite to this point. The Raiders compete hard every game, and they have some players, but they are missing game-changers right now. They just need to find some explosiveness. Somewhere. And not just from their coach’s mouth.

17. Chicago Bears, 3-1 (15)

They are this high because of their record, and their defense looks pretty darn good. I just don’t see them finishing the season this high in the rankings, so Bears fans might want to grab a screenshot now before that record levels out.
