12. Cleveland Browns, 3-1 (14)

They ran for more than 300 yards against Dallas, and they have built themselves an offensive line. Look out, folks. The Browns are being run with common sense and competence now. They need to clean up some things defensively, but this team is starting to cook.

11. L.A. Rams, 3-1 (11)

They struggled a little in beating the Giants, but they won. That’s what good teams do. The Rams seem to be on a good course this season, and as long as their offensive line holds up, they can play with anybody.

10. New England Patriots, 2-2 (8)

They gave the Chiefs a decent game for a while without Cam Newton, but they were just out-talented at the end of the day. This looks like a team that will compete all season for a playoff spot, and Newton brings them to a higher level.

9. Indianapolis Colts, 3-1 (12)

This defense is legitimate, and they will be tested by Cleveland this weekend. If they can maintain a steady offense and avoid turnovers, the Colts could be a dark-horse contender for the AFC title this season.
