Patrick Queen:

Queen, the Ravens 2020 first-round pick has looked every bit to par. The undersized, one-year college starter is presently the Ravens leading tackler and has now made many highlight plays. Early in the season he had a sack and forced fumble. This week he made a huge play to stop a goal-line touchdown.

Queen has 33 tackles, 12 of which came on Sunday. Against the Football team, he was everywhere. He effectively uses his sideline to sideline speed to make stops all over the field, guard running backs and tight ends, and make stops in the backfield. With his skill set, he is the perfect modern-day linebacker and can fit in any defense.

On the Ravens defense, Queen is playing free and effectively. Although he is relatively inexperienced it currently does not look that way. He has played about 72% of snaps, but this week he played the most of his career so far playing 80% of snaps. Queen is quickly on his way to being a three-down player.

For the Ravens defense, he has been everything they expected and more. This past Sunday against the Football team he tripled his tackle for loss output, with three TFLs. One of which occurred on the goal line to stop a touchdown. He has great instincts and plays like a man on a mission. Moving forward the only thing I’d like to see is continued consistency and some plays in pass coverage. If Queen can stay consistent and guard tight ends and running backs effectively he will remain hot and become the next great Ravens linebacker.
