Another week, another Fantasy Football preview for the Baltimore Ravens. This time, they match up with their AFC North division rival Cincinnati Bengals.

Heading into a week five matchup with the division rival Cincinnati Bengals the 3-1 Ravens look to improve their standing within the division and within fantasy players lineups. Here are some predictions for the game ahead.

Quarterback

This matchup features a former MVP and a former number one overall pick. In the last three matchups of this kind, the MVP has won the last three. In this game, Lamar Jackson is a little banged up but should play. Joe Burrow has thrown very well and has beaten some early expectations. With a good group of weapons at his disposal, it will be interesting to see how the Ravens choose to defend those and choose to blitz the rookie.

More from Ebony Bird

The blitz will be Burrow’s biggest test in this game. Regardless of how the Ravens offense plays, Burrow should expect a heavy dosage of blitzes. The Bengals have a good defensive line that can generate pressure, especially against a banged-up Ravens offensive line. Burrow has thrown for over 1,000-yards and six touchdowns in the young season but has been sacked 15 times already. He also has thrown two interceptions. This is a game the Ravens defense can take advantage of a young QB who has made some mistakes so far in his career.

For the Ravens, Jackson didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday and that may cause him to be lagging slightly in his preparation for this game. For the season Lamar has struggled comparatively to Burrow. Although he has one less interception and one more passing touchdown, he has almost 400-yards less than Burrow. This week is another good week for him to get back on track. Last season Jackson had his highlight spin move on Nick Vigil. In two wins last season the Ravens utilized the run game heavily, but also be prepared to see Jackson look to work the middle of the field consistently. This is where he can thrive against this Bengals team.

Prediction:

  • Lamar Jackson– 230 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, one interception, 50 rushing yards
  • Joe Burrow– 270 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, one interception, one fumble, 10 rushing yards
