The Baltimore Ravens beat the Cincinnati Bengals 27-3 and here are the three things we’ve learned about the Ravens this week:

1. The Ravens play in the toughest division in the NFL:

There is only one division in the NFL with three teams that have four wins and the Baltimore Ravens are in that division. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 4-0, the Cleveland Browns and the purple and black are both 4-1. The Ravens stomped on the Browns in the season opener. Since then, the Browns have put up 152 points and are on an absolute roll. Baker Mayfield isn’t looking like he did in his rookie season, he’s looking better. The Pittsburgh Steelers just beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-29 at Heinz Field. The Steelers may have played tight with three not so great teams, yet they’ve gotten through four games without a loss. Three teams in the playoffs from the AFC North is starting to look like a reality.

The best division in the NFL has the best grouping of quarterbacks. Lamar Jackson may not be red hot but you need to respect the fact that he’s the 2019 MVP because he’s a special player. Ben Roethlisberger is an eventual Hall of Fame player while Baker Mayfield and Joe Burrow were both the number one pick overall in their respective draft year.

The Steelers and Ravens are perhaps two of the most balanced teams in the league. The Steelers have put up 118 points and only allowed 87 points against them. The Ravens have scored 149 points and have only given up 79 points. While the Browns defense is nowhere near the level of Baltimore or Pittsburgh, they’ve put up the most points in this division with 156. The Bengals are about as competitive of a fourth place team as you’ll find in the NFL. They played in nothing but games that were decided by one score before they played the Ravens. There is more competition in the AFC North than in any other division in the NFL. The Ravens and Steelers both believe they are Super Bowl contenders. While both teams have to continue to prove it, they should be playoff teams the way this year is going. Cleveland may join the Ravens and Steelers in the playoffs.
