24. Denver Broncos, 1-3 (21)

They didn’t play this week, so not a ton has changed for them. Some health and more consistent play would serve them well going forward.

23. Houston Texans, 1-4 (26)

They finally got into the win column with a 30-14 defeat of Jacksonville. They have too many pieces to be this low. On the other hand, they have too many holes and losses to be much higher.

22. Los Angeles Chargers, 1-4 (20)

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: The Chargers blew a lead and doinked a field goal in their loss to the Saints. This team knows injuries and heartbreaking losses.

21. Dallas Cowboys, 2-3 (24)

They beat the Giants in an interesting-to-watch game but lost their franchise quarterback with a nearly-impossible-to-watch injury. Jerry’s Boys are struggling to stop anything this season on defense, and the loss of Dak Prescott could be their ultimate demise into obscurity.
