The Baltimore Ravens see a slight drop in our latest power rankings while the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs remain at the top.

Well, Sunday was a tough day if you happened to be sporting purple and black in anticipation of a home win over the rival Pittsburgh Steelers (guilty as charged), but there was a lot of good football going on around the league.

There were upsets, overtime games, and flat-out, old-fashioned blowouts. In short, it was a typical week in the National Football League.

Let’s take a look at how we have the teams stacked up at this point of the season. Last week’s rankings are in parenthesis.

32. New York Jets, 0-8 (32)

You know how SEC schools schedule those early-season destructions of schools that are more noted for their typing programs than their football prowess? Pitting the Jets against the Chiefs had a similar feel. It went down like you might expect — 35-9, Chiefs.

31. New York Giants, (30)

When you are probably the worst team in the worst division we have seen in some time, you get the lowest ranking that does not include the New York Jets. It will be interesting to see what changes next season with this franchise. This defense is better than I anticipated, though.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars, 1-6 (31)

This is how the Jaguars move up a spot — don’t play. They had a bye, which is good, but now they are without Gardner Minshew, which causes a quarterback battle between Mike Glennon and Jake Luton. Not exactly Young and Montana on paper. Or, really, off paper.

29. Dallas Cowboys, 2-6 (27)

They did not have Dak Prescott. They did not even have Andy Dalton. Right now, they just don’t have a prayer. Combining a horrific defense with a ridiculous offense leads to, well, what you saw in their 23-9 to the Eagles. This is not a good team.
