20. Detroit Lions, 3-4 (19)

They got torched by the Colts. Those games happen sometimes. But this just feels like a middle-to-lower-middle-class team on every level. They are in a handful of teams this season that fluctuates between being awful and being competitive from game to game.

19. Philadelphia Eagles, 3-4-1 (23)

The class of the NFC East, ladies and gentlemen. Hear me out — if they can convince Carson Wentz to surrender on some plays, and if they can get some healthy wideouts and linemen on the field with any regularity, they can scare someone in the playoffs. If not, well, bye.

Baltimore Ravens defense very hard to blame for loss to Steelers. light. Must Read

18. Denver Broncos, 3-4 (22)

That was a pretty improbable win against the Chargers, but then you remember: Hey, they were playing the Chargers. This kind of stuff happens ALL THE TIME. They did do what they had to do to win, and they are still hovering around that .500 mark.

17. San Francisco 49ers, 4-4 (14)

They got cooked by the Seahawks, and they are not the first to meet that fate. But they are wildly inconsistent this season, starting at quarterback. That is not where you want inconsistency. They are capable of beating nearly anybody, but they need to get cleaned up.
