Ravens drop a little in latest power rankings with Colts on the horizon

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 6-2 (7)
They escaped Monday night’s game against the Giants with the win, which is probably the best thing you can say about it. This team runs hot and cold, as well, but their quarterback, defense, and top performances put them this high in the rankings. Another team to watch.
3. Seattle Seahawks, 6-1 (5)
Well, if the defense they played against the 49ers on Sunday shows up the rest of the year, this is your clear NFC favorite. But was this a sign to come, or an aberration against an inconsistent offense in San Francisco. There is still more than half the season left to determine that. But they are great on offense. This we do know.
2. Pittsburgh Steelers, 7-0 (2)
They won another instant classic against the Ravens, but have some things to clean up. This is a team that is led by a quarterback who frankly knows how to win close games, and he will always make them a factor if that defense keeps playing up to par.
1. Kansas City Chiefs, 7-1 (1)
The Chiefs blew out the Jets, which is not surprising. Nothing they do on offense is surprising, actually. They have the best quarterback in the world, a stable of fast receivers, and a defense that can rush the passer when they have the lead. That is a formula for big-time success.
