2021 Pro Bowl roster revealed: Initial thoughts for Baltimore Ravens 7 players
The 2021 Pro Bowl roster has been revealed and the Baltimore Ravens had seven players selected. Here are our thoughts on our Pro Bowlers.
The Baltimore Ravens will once again be well-represented at the 2021 Pro Bowl after having seven players selected, tying the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Kansas City Chiefs for the most among the league. Some were more than deserving, but there were a few who left us scratching our heads. These are our thoughts for each player who earned a Pro Bowl:
Patrick Ricard (second selection):
For my money’s worth, Patrick Ricard is not only the best fullback in the league but also the best two-way player. Ricard is a terrific blocker who has been invaluable for the league’s best rushing attack. With Ricard paving the way for the running backs to gouge opposing defenses, Baltimore is averaging 5.2 YPC and over 170 YPG. Ricard is one of the most deserving Ravens for a Pro Bowl nod and it’s awesome to see him getting his recognition as such.
Orlando Brown Jr. (second selection):
When Ronnie Stanley went down with a season-ending ankle injury Baltimore turned to Orlando Brown Jr. to take over the left tackle spot and anchor it. “Zeus Jr.” ran away with the opportunity and has proven he can start on either side of the line. Brown Jr. has been far and away the Ravens best offensive lineman and rightfully gets his second career Pro Bowl.

Calais Campbell (seventh selection):
Calais Campbell’s inclusion in the 2021 Pro Bowl is a tad confusing. When on the field and healthy, Campbell has been terrific. The problem is Campbell has been playing hurt for most of the year and the majority of his production came from one game (three of four sacks came against the Philadelphia Eagles back in October). Campbell likely got his seventh career Pro Bowl for his name alone, but we won’t complain too much.
Matt Judon (second selection):
Matt Judon has been very Ok this season, so I’m not a fan of his addition to the 2021 Pro Bowl roster. Judon has just five sacks on the year and has been inconsistent at best. It’s been disappointing considering he was playing this season on the franchise tag in hopes of breaking the bank this offseason. Judon and his agent will be able to use this Pro Bowl nod in their contract negotiations this offseason, so his camp certainly can’t complain. Similarly to Campbell, Judon likely benefited from name recognition for this selection.
Marlon Humphrey (second selection):
Not only is Marlon Humphrey one of the easiest Pro Bowl selections of the season, but he should be one of the league’s top candidates for the Defensive Player of the Year award. Humphrey has forced a league-best eight forced fumbles this season and also has an interception for those who care about that statistic. Humphrey has made life hell on opposing wide receivers and is undeniably one of the NFL’s best cornerbacks. This selection was one we could’ve made in our sleep.
Justin Tucker (fourth selection):
Justin Tucker is on his way to the Hall of Fame despite being just 31-years old. There are few kickers who are as consistent and clutch as Tucker in the history of the league. He’s once again having a stellar 2020 season, connecting on 88.5% of his field-goal attempts and missing just one PAT this year. Tucker is nearly automatic when he takes the field and Baltimore can always count on him for points. It should be no surprise that he gets his Pro Bowl nod.
Morgan Cox (fourth selection):
Just as Tucker has been as reliable as they come for kickers, Morgan Cox is similarly reliable for long snappers. Cox is a very important aspect of one of the NFL’s best special teams units, so his selection makes sense. It’s awesome to see him continue to be recognized as one of the best long snappers in football.
