The Colts schedule:

The Steelers have two ways to help the Ravens. That sentence sounds weird. It’s true though. If the Steelers topple Phillip Rivers and the Colts, the Ravens bump in front of them. Remember all of these scenarios require the Ravens to win out. I’m not going to indulge the path to the postseason at 10-6. I  refuse because that’s an unacceptable spot to be in.

If the Colts beat the Steelers, bad news guys… It’s up to the Jacksonville Jaguars to beat them. The Jaguars did beat the Colts in the season opener for their only win but, these two teams went in the exact opposite direction. Let’s not put a lot of eggs in this basket Ravens fans. Can the Steelers beat Indianapolis?

As tiresome as it is to keep talking about Mike Tomlin’s squad, we kind of have to. The Steelers’ biggest problem was that they got too high on themselves. Winning covers up a lot of problems. The Colts may be seeing the Steelers at the exact wrong time. The Steelers have had three straight losses, plus an embarrassing win against Baltimore practice squad fill-ins.

The point is that their flaws have been exposed and they can start honestly addressing them. They won 11 games. It’s not like we’re talking about the Jets here, this team has a good bit going for them. Indianapolis isn’t amazing either. Other than their 44-27 win against the Las Vegas Raiders, what have they done right lately? Philip Rivers and Co. almost lost to the Texans twice in three weeks. Before that, they got rocked by the Tennessee Titans.

Baltimore has a chance here. You never know what Colts team you’re going to get and the Steelers will be desperate to stop the bleeding of a once-perfect season. Could I see this as a get-right game for the Steelers? Absolutely. In the odd season, we’re in that’s somehow a great possibility for Baltimore. Okay, onto the Dolphins.
