Ravens Need No. 3: Offensive Line Help

Baltimore already has one of the league’s best bookend tackles in the NFL, Ronnie Stanley, and the hope is he’ll be fully recovered from his midseason injury that limited him to just six games last season.

But the depth was tested last year, and one of the pieces of evidence from the Ravens’ postseason defeat at the hands of Buffalo was their general lack of offensive line depth late in the season.

And it’s an issue that’s going to be magnified with the potential free-agent losses of fellow linemen Matt Skura and D.J. Fluker.

Depending on what Baltimore elects to do in free agency, both with its own on-roster players and others also poised to hit the market from other teams, there’s still a good chance Eric DeCosta looks hard at options in the NFL Draft.

While there are only a handful of no-doubt O-line options in this year’s class, the depth remains awfully good, and starting-caliber linemen can be found deep into the draft, both for the outside spots and within the interior.

It would be wise for Baltimore to use at least one of its day-three picks to find some O-line help for the long run.
