Ravens Need No. 1: Wide Receiver Weapons for Lamar Jackson
Aside from the common complaints offensive coordinator Greg Roman’s passing offense is lacking creativity, the lack of production from the Ravens’ wide receiver department is perhaps equally as concerning heading into the offseason.

The AFC divisional loss to the Titans revealed this, as quarterback Lamar Jackson couldn’t take advantage much of his wide receiver corps being able to separate and get open with consistency. Fair or not, a lot of the focus has centered on Baltimore’s first-round pick from the 2019 NFL Draft, wide receiver Marquise Brown, who has flashed all the signs of being a speedy and dynamic WR1 on any NFL roster but has also played with a great deal of inconsistency the last two years.
It’s too early to give up on Brown altogether, but it’s more than apparent both he and tight end Mark Andrews could use some complementary help, perhaps a strong-bodied possession-type receiver who’s more than dynamic enough to take attention away from those other two.
Plus, giving Jackson yet another weapon with which he can further develop his own passing abilities would be the smartest of moves the Ravens could make this offseason.
Unless Baltimore is comfortable with maintaining the league’s worst passing offense from 2020 into the new year.
The 2021 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
