The hypothetical trade of the day:

We just saw the Kansas City Chiefs look desperate on the offensive line in the Super Bowl. Yes, the Chiefs were shorthanded at the tackle position, but it brought a major need to light. If the Chiefs offered the 31st pick overall should the Ravens take it?

The cons to this trade are that the Ravens would only be getting one pick and the Chiefs would be an even stronger AFC power. That’s it. That’s the list of cons. Should the Ravens shop Brown Jr. around and see what they can get? Absolutely. If this is the best deal the Ravens have to take it.

The Chiefs are going to be good regardless of what the Ravens do here. Baltimore may as well get something out of it. This is like a fair trade in the game Monopoly. It may give the Chiefs a third trip to the Super Bowl, or it could give Baltimore the tools to win the AFC from them.

If the Ravens are going to compete with teams like the Buffalo Bills and the Chiefs, they have to get better this offseason. If trading Brown Jr. is the only possible path (and it looks like it is) the 31st pick would be a fair trade.

The notion that the Ravens could get a rediculous amount for Brown Jr, is fueled by the idea that he’s an established starter. He has a little over a handful of starts at left tackle and it went well. It’s not like he’s Ronnie Stanley or Laremy Tunsil.

Teams like the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars have chances to get a left tackle in the 2021 NFL Draft. They may not be desperate to draft Brown Jr. as they both have multiple first-round picks.

To trade one of those first-round picks they have to be completely sold on Brown Jr. with limited film to go off of. Brown Jr. is the hot name, but these prospects are going to start getting some serious buzz.
