The Baltimore Ravens have had plenty of success since 1996, but what are some heartbreaking losses that you wish would’ve had a different outcome?

Heartbreak is part of being a sports fan and everyone goes through it, but what Baltimore Ravens game has been caused you the biggest heartbreak, and which would you wish had a different outcome?

The Baltimore Ravens franchise has been a really successful organization since moving from Cleveland in 1996. With that said, what games/playoff games would you like to re-live and have that heartbreak changed to happiness?

A few games come to mind when thinking of heartbreaking losses or a play or two could’ve changed the outcome.

The first game probably every Raven fan thinks about and would bring up is the 2012 AFC Championship Game versus the New England Patriots.  If Lee Evans actually caught that ball in the endzone in the fourth quarter, the Baltimore Ravens would’ve made it to the Super Bowl.  Who knows, they might’ve been back-to-back Super Bowl Champions. Another outcome in that game was the Billy Cundiff missed field goal that would’ve tied that game and taken it to overtime. Anything could’ve happened in overtime, but at least it wouldn’t have been so heartbreaking.

The second game is yet another playoff game against the New England Patriots.  This time it was in the 2015 AFC Division Round where the Baltimore Ravens had two 14-point leads and ended up losing the game 35-31.  Baltimore was up 14-0 and 28-14 in the game. The Patriots ended up using a trick play in the second half to cut the deficit to one touchdown, but Joe Flacco’s playoff legacy would’ve been even greater if the defense didn’t blow it.

Another Divisional Round Playoff Game where the Baltimore Ravens blew a 14-point lead, but this time it was to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011. Baltimore was up 21-7 but unfortunately, the offense was the problem in this game. Ray Rice fumbled for the first time that season in the game, and Joe Flacco threw an interception. All of that turned a 21-7 lead into a 24-21 deficit. It also didn’t help the fact that the offense only 28-years in the second half. Another potential playoff win for Joe Flacco with the Ravens would’ve been huge.

A bonus playoff game that wasn’t a big heartbreak for me, but if only the Ravens offense showed up that day, they probably would’ve won. I’m talking about the 2007 Divisional Playoff Game against the Indianapolis Colts where the Baltimore Ravens lost 15-6. The defense came to play and normally when you hold a Peyton Manning offense to 15 points and no touchdowns, you should probably win the game. Steve McNair and the Baltimore offense had problems with the Colts defense which would never have been said in the Peyton Manning Colts era as the defense was always poor.

What other games come to mind for you in regards to heartbreaking losses that you wish would’ve had a different outcome? I’m sure I missed a few more games, especially playoff games, or ones in the regular season that impacted getting into the playoffs. I’m excited to hear all the responses in the comment section.
