13. Los Angeles Chargers: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama

Everyone is going to be sorry that they over-thought Smith in the 2021 NFL Draft. To make matters worse for 31 other teams, Smith winds up with the Chargers and gets to play alongside Keenan Allen and Mike Williams with reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Justin Herbert throwing him the ball. It doesn’t get much better than that.

14. Minnesota Vikings: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech

The Vikings are a much better team than its 2020 record shows, but they need to get better on the offensive line. Darrisaw is a huge step in the right direction here and shores up the left tackle spot that Minnesota has been trying to fill for the better part of, well, forever.

Must Read. The Baltimore Ravens’ lack of success at receiver is not a new problem. light

15. New England Patriots: Mac Jones, QB, Alabama

Mac Jones, in all likely hood, will be a top-10 pick and someone a team like the Patriots will trade up for. Here, with no projected trades, New England has Jones fall to its lap. Jones can take some time to get a feel for the NFL behind Cam Newton and eventually become the team’s future at quarterback.

16. Arizona Cardinals: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

This is the dream scenario for the Cardinals. Horn could very well be the first cornerback off the board and he slips down thanks to positional need right into Arizona’s lap. A rebuilt secondary will happily welcome a young and physical boundary cover man in a scary-talented NFC West.
