5. Los Angeles Chargers

The last time the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers met was the AFC wild-card game of January 2019, a game the Ravens lost at home 23-17. By some odd coincidence of fate, the two teams managed to dodge each other in both the 2019 and 2020 seasons. This will be a prime opportunity for Lamar Jackson to finally exact revenge for his first postseason loss.

This year, he’ll have to outdo the Chargers’ new, exciting quarterback.

In 2020, Justin Herbert surprised everyone with his outstanding rookie campaign. While it wasn’t quite enough to help the Chargers reach the playoffs, he did set multiple rookie quarterback records, including most passing touchdowns (31) and most completions (396), and won the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award. This offseason, the Chargers have done their best to build around Herbert and hopefully (well, for them, anyway) build the Bolts into a legitimate contender.

Assuming Herbert doesn’t hit a sophomore slump, the Baltimore Ravens will have their hands full when they meet the Chargers at home.
