2. Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Week 2)
The Ravens/Chiefs rivalry has been one of the more exciting rivalries in the NFL in recent years. although it hasn’t always gone the Ravens way.
They’ll be hoping to turn their fortunes around this year, especially after a disappointing loss to the Chiefs on Monday Night Football a year ago.
This time, they’ll square off under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football.
It would have been nice to play the Chiefs a little later in the year with more playoff implications at stake, but the NFL decided to throw one of their more marquee matchups out there early.
Of course, this will all be about Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson.
Jackson is a lifetime 0-3 against Mahomes and will be looking to secure his first victory over a team that has become somewhat of an Achilles heel for Baltimore in recent years.
The Chiefs need no introduction. They boast perhaps the best offense the NFL has seen in quite some time with the likes of Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce wreaking havoc on opposing defenses.
Kansas City notched 34 points against Baltimore a year ago, but if the Ravens are going to compete in this game, they’ll need a much better offensive output this time around.
No more sub-100 yard games from Jackson in the air. Establish an actual passing game and avoid becoming one-dimensional.
This one should be one of the NFL’s early highlights.
