Ravens trade proposal for Julio Jones No. 1

The first proposal we will be looking at was actually drawn up by Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. In this package, the Ravens send two 2022 draft picks and wide receiver Miles Boykin to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for Jones.

While Jones is still an incredible player, his recent injury history combined with the limited cap space that most teams have at this stage of the offseason likely means that Atlanta won’t be able to fetch a first-rounder in return.

However, they could still receive relatively significant draft capital.

In this scenario, the Ravens ship away a second and fourth-rounder, two picks that will likely be toward the end of their respective rounds. So figure a pick in the late 50s and the mid 130s.

They also clear up the logjam they’ll have at wide receiver a little by sending wide receiver Miles Boykin to Atlanta as well.

A third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Boykin has received significant playing time over the first two years of his career, but has done very little with it.

The disappointing wideout will be fighting for playing time in 2021 (if on the roster) and it’s hard to see him beating out Devin Duvernay and Tylan Wallace for the No. 4 wide receiver spot.

He gets a chance to restart his career in an offensive system that probably suits him better while the Ravens add a superstar wide receiver to their offense.

This could be seen as a win-win.
