1. Ravens free agent target: Justin Houston (OLB)

Justin Houston‘s inclusion on this list is fairly straightforward. Much like Gurley, Houston visited with the Ravens earlier this offseason.

And since that visit occurred, no player has been tied to the Ravens more than he has.

That visit came three months ago and many hoped that a potential Houston signing would happen shortly thereafter. Then the 2021 NFL Draft came and the hope was that the team would finally pull the trigger then.

However, we’re now in mid-July and the Ravens don’t seem any closer to signing the four-time Pro Bowler.

They sure could use him though.

After losing both Matt Judon and Yannick Ngakoue in the offseason, the Ravens attempted to address their pass rush woes by drafting Odafe Oweh and Daelin Hayes.

However, relying on a pair of rookies and the likes of Tyus Bowser, Pernell McPhee, and Jaylon Ferguson to match the production of Judon and Ngakoue might be wishful thinking.

Houston would give the Ravens their most accomplished pass rusher. Even at age 32, the longtime Chiefs outside linebacker still has it. He’s totaled at least eight sacks in each of the last four seasons.

No remaining free agent has been connected to the Ravens more than Justin Houston. For the sake of the defense, many are hoping that this one gets done.
