The Baltimore Ravens are going to have to make some difficult cuts this year. Such is the case with a roster as talented and stacked as theirs is.
Typically, this is bad news for incumbent veterans on the roster. The NFL world is an ever-changing landscape with very little true job security.
One year you might be one of the most important players on your team and the next you could find yourself fighting for a roster spot.
But while veterans are the primary culprits, the new players coming could also replace some of the other young players on the roster. Perhaps players that seemed to be in the team’s plans not too long ago.
The Ravens are an organization that has long valued their draft picks. General manager Eric DeCosta is known to hold on to draft picks, perhaps longer than he should, with the goal of giving each player a fair shake.
But sometimes, things just don’t work out.
While the Ravens have found plenty of success in the draft in recent years, no team has a 100 percent success rate. And the four players we are going to discuss on this list and trending more toward misses than hits.
Although that may be harsh to say for any late-round players on the list.
With that, let’s take a look at four recent draft picks (within the last two years) who could find themselves on the chopping block this summer.
