The Baltimore Ravens held the second official practice of their 2021 training camp on Thursday. And while the pads aren’t on yet, there were still a number of players who managed to separate themselves from the pack.
The first few days of training camp are typically on the quieter side. Teams slowly begin to get their players acclimated to the speed of NFL practices allowing for a more graceful transition.
For that reason, it could be difficult to evaluate certain players/positions.
Offensive and defensive line evaluations are essentially worthless with the absence of pads. So while it might be easy to praise players like Odafe Oweh and Daelin Hayes who had strong days on Thursday, it’s difficult to determine how “genuine” their performances were.
Oweh got past right tackle Alejandro Villanueva with a “sweet spin move” while Hayes beat undrafted rookie Foster Sarell with a spin of his own.
We can throw them in as honorable mentions.
The same could be said for wide receiver Jaylon Moore who had himself quite a day hauling in a pass that sailed at least 40 yards in the air (probably 70 yards in total) from Tyler Huntley. That was likely the best play of the entire day.
But which three Ravens players impressed the most on Day 2 of training camp? We take a look at the three most notable standouts.
