1. Justice Hill, RB, Ravens

It would have seemed blasphemous to suggest that Justice Hill might not make the Ravens roster a little over a month ago. Oh how quickly things can change in the NFL.

Hill has had a very quiet training camp and failed to do anything in his lone preseason appearance (five carries for eight yards). Meanwhile, his two competitors have made the most of their snaps.

Second-year pro Ty’Son Williams has been one of the biggest standouts of the preseason with some calling him the second coming of Gus Edwards. Even undrafted rookie Nate McCrary has had his moments.

All the while, Hill has either underperformed or, most recently, sat out with an ankle injury.

While Hill was watching from the sideline on Saturday, Williams was making plays including a highlight-reel 20-yard run in the fourth quarter that saw him juke and power his way into the end zone for a touchdown.

It was the play of the game — perhaps even the play of the preseason for Baltimore. And it certainly helped his case for a roster spot.

Hill is a core special-teamer which should serve him well when it comes to roster decisions. But Williams is making the Ravens think twice about their running back room.

Justice Hill’s roster spot isn’t safe. And another big week from Ty’Son Williams could force the team to make a difficult decision.
