The Baltimore Ravens have lost standout running back J.K. Dobbins for the season following a torn ACL suffered in the team’s preseason finale on Saturday.
Dobbins exited Saturday’s game in the first quarter with an apparent leg injury after hauling in a screen pass from Lamar Jackson.
The initial fear was that he had suffered a serious leg injury and an MRI confirmed that on Sunday. Dobbins is done for the year, leaving the Ravens scrambling for answers.
Baltimore was considered to be one of the Super Bowl favorites going into the 2021 season. But where do the Ravens Super Bowl odds stand now following the J.K. Dobbins injury news?

According to WynnBet, the Ravens Super Bowl odds remain at +1400 even following the Dobbins injury. Their odds to hoist the Lombardi Trophy have not changed while their odds to win the AFC North have only fallen from +105 to +125.
This might come as a surprise to some given that Dobbins was expected to be one of the most important players in the Ravens’ offense this season.
Prior to his injury, many were dubbing him a potential breakout candidate after he led all running backs with a superb 6.0 yards per carry as a rookie.
The Ravens hoped to get Dobbins more involved in the passing game and were expected to make him one of the focal points of the offense. Unfortunately, they’ll have to turn to other options now.
Perhaps the odds are a direct reflection of how the oddsmakers feel about Gus Edwards. The former undrafted free agent has averaged 5.0 yards per carry or higher in all three of his NFL seasons.
Edwards is in line to receive a lion’s share of the touches with Dobbins sidelined. The Ravens could look to Ty’Son Williams and Justice Hill as well or an external addition like Todd Gurley, who visited with the team in the offseason.
The odds could also be a reflection of the faith the oddsmakers have in the Ravens’ offensive scheme to produce without Dobbins.
After all, Baltimore’s offense runs through Jackson more than anyone else. Perhaps they feel the Ravens could survive without their top running back.

Either way, it’s obvious the Dobbins injury is a major blow to the Ravens’ offense. But at least according to the latest odds, it doesn’t affect their Super Bowl chances.
