1. Ty’Son Williams, RB, Ravens
Hey, Ravens Flock, meet second-year player Ty’Son Williams, your new starting running back. After spending his rookie season on the Ravens practice squad, Williams is out to prove that he can be a star back in this league.
He started this season on the bubble and not many people even had him making the team. Williams played extremely well during the preseason showing good burst, speed, and power.
Due to his play, he earned a roster spot over Nate McCrary. But now after season-ending injuries to J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, and Justice Hill, Williams has been elevated to the top of the depth chart.
He is one of those key players that the Ravens are relying on to have a big season.
Williams must start the season strong against the Raiders on Monday Night Football. The Ravens want to rely less on Jackson carrying the rushing load.
Williams needs to show that he can handle the workload of a workhorse back. Therefore he needs to have a huge game against the Raiders. The Ravens are confident that he can pick up the slack.
