3. Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens

It had been an uncharacteristically slow start for Mark Andrews going into Week 3. He had managed just eight catches for 77 yards through two games and was a relative afterthought in each of the Ravens’ first two games.

But that changed in Week 3. Andrews picked the right time to show up.

The newly-extended tight end hauled in a team-leading five catches for 109 yards as he finally rekindled his chemistry with Lamar Jackson.

Andrews was the lone consistent target in the passing game for the Ravens on Sunday. Marquise Brown’s inconsistencies were well documented. Sammy Watkins made a crucial play on the final drive of the game, but he only padded the stat sheet late.

Meanwhile, James Proche made a nice tip-toeing catch along the sideline while Devin Duvernay hauled in a touchdown — his second in two weeks.

But it was the Mark Andrews show on Sunday. And given how many things went wrong on offense, it was the season premiere the Ravens were hoping for.

Andrews will look to build upon this excellent Week 3 performance and put together more games like this one. If Brown and Watkins are struggling, it’s nice to know that Jackson has a target he could always rely on in Andrews.

Even with Rashod Bateman and Miles Boykin due back in the near future, Andrews will always have a prominent place in this offense.
