The Baltimore Ravens will take on a surging, 4-1 Los Angeles Chargers team in Week 6 as they looking to improve upon their four-game winning streak. But they’ll do so against arguably their toughest task of the season to this point.

The Justin Herbert-led Chargers are riding a wave of momentum following an exciting 47-42 victory over the Cleveland Browns in Week 5.

Both teams will be looking to improve to 5-1 to set themselves up in excellent position in their respective divisions early in the season.

However, both teams will be without a number of key players in this one. Let’s take a look at the injury reports for each team.

Ravens injury report Week 6

  • WR Sammy Watkins, OUT (thigh), inactive
  • OT Ronnie Stanley, OUT (ankle), inactive
  • OT Alejandro Villanueva, questionable (knee), active
  • S DeShon Elliott, questionable (quad), active
  • S Geno Stone, questionable (thigh), active

The Ravens will be without both wide receiver Sammy Watkins and left tackle Ronnie Stanley in this game. Stanley has been sidelined since Week 1 after suffering a setback while Watkins will miss his first game this week.

Watkins was held out of practice this week and could be replaced by the returning Rashod Bateman as well as Devin Duvernay and James Proche.

All three Ravens players listed as questionable in this game will be active. Safety DeShon Elliott will make his first start in a few weeks while Alejandro Villanueva will start at left tackle despite nursing a knee injury.

Chargers injury report Week 6

  • LB Drue Tranquill, OUT (chest), inactive
  • S Nasir Adderley, OUT (hip), inactive
  • WR Mike Williams, questionable (knee), active

The Chargers will be missing a pair of important defensive starters in linebacker Drue Tranquill and safety Nasir Adderley. Sixth-round rookie Nick Niemann is expected to start in place of Tranquill further hindering an already weak front seven.

As for Adderley, he was originally listed as questionable before being downgraded to OUT this weekend. Alohi Gilman and rookie Mark Webb will receive an increase in playing time as a result.

Williams didn’t practice at all this week but will still play even after injuring his knee in last week’s game.
