2. Ravens trade target: Kamu Grugier-Hill, LB, Houston Texans

Kamu Grugier-Hill, on the other hand, is more of your prototypical off-ball linebacker. The 27-year-old has been around the NFL for quite some time serving as a valuable rotational linebacker and core special-teamer.

But in 2021, he’s putting together one of the best years of his career.

Grugier-Hill has started all six games for the Houston Texans, at the time of writing, recording 36 tackles, a career-high five tackles for loss, a sack, and a forced fumble.

On top of that, he’s been particularly effective in coverage. Grugier-Hill’s 65.1 PFF coverage grade is good for 24th among all linebackers in the NFL.

He’s a rangy, experienced linebacker who would certainly provide a major boost to a Ravens’ linebacker corps that has struggled in coverage at times this season.

The Texans aren’t looking to compete any time soon meaning that they likely won’t be too hesitant to part ways with Grugier-Hill who is on a one-year deal.

On top of that, his $2.4 million cap hit is pretty affordable for a Ravens team strapped for cap space at the moment.

Grugier-Hill could come in and give the Ravens an additional veteran presence in their linebacker room, provide them with perhaps their best coverage linebacker, and bolster an already-strong special teams unit.

This is definitely a move the team should consider making.
