2. Anthony Averett vs. Justin Jefferson/Adam Theilen
It’s safe to say Anthony Averett has had an up-and-down season. For multiple strong stretches and performances, he has been targeted a lot and has given up his fair share of plays.
He actually played very well against the Los Angeles Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals, against the likes of Mike Williams and Tee Higgins, after being toasted by the Indianapolis Colts, but the Vikings pose an immense threat.
In Justin Jefferson and Adam Theilen, they boast one of the most talented wide receiver duos in the NFL.
Both are very sophisticated and dangerous route runners, with the versatility to win on any route, and both are excellent catchers of the football and win contested catches.
Averett will have to face both, and he will be targeted a lot, as he has all season.
The Ravens need Averett to be at his absolute best this week, as anything short of it can be emphatically exploited by Jefferson and Theilen.
This is the individual matchup that causes the most concern and will be a focal point all game.
