2. Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens

Marquise Brown started off slow against the Vikings. It was clear that the Vikings game plan was to take away the deep threat of Brown’s game. They consistently had their safeties deep to take away the long bombs.

In the second half, Greg Roman and the Ravens made adjustments. As a result, Hollywood turned up the jets and heated up. He caught nine passes for 116 yards.

Instead of deep-developing routes, he ran more comebacks/curls and sat in the zones. He was successful in finding the soft spot in the zone and turning upfield for more yards.

They also threw more screens to Brown, allowing him to make more plays in space. There were few times on long-distance downs when he gained the first down off those screens.

It was a development in the passing game showing off Hollywood’s versatility. This game was the perfect example of his ability to run routes and makes plays out of minimal gains.

Ravens fans for 20+ years have been waiting for that eluding homegrown star receiver. Brown, after each passing game, is showing that he is blossoming into the receiver.

And with how good Rashod Bateman has looked these past few games, it looks Baltimore has a nice trio in Mark Andrews, Marquise Brown, and Rashod Bateman for a long time.
